Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, devices, and fixtures in residential and commercial properties.
- Read blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to determine layout of electrical systems.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
- Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes and safety standards.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical systems, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.
- Educate customers and team members on proper electrical safety and usage.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician License in the State of Louisiana.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in commercial and residential electrical work.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
