Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in commercial and residential settings.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to plan layout and installation.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure electrical systems operate correctly and safely.
- Ensure compliance with all local and national electrical codes (NEC) and safety regulations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Educate apprentices and junior staff on proper techniques and safety procedures.
- Work efficiently in various environments, including job sites, commercial buildings, and industrial facilities.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician License required for New York.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in commercial and residential electrical work.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, wiring diagrams, and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Current Driver’s License and reliable transportation to job sites.
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift heavy materials for extended periods.
