Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Prepare job sites by organizing materials, digging trenches, and ensuring a clean, safe work environment.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment to perform basic electrical tasks under supervision.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and local electrical codes.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical components.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project status and requirements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school background is a plus.
- Valid driverβs license and a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug screening.
- Willingness to learn and obtain required certifications (e.g., OSHA 10) during employment.
