Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations
- Diagnose electrical issues using testing equipment and implement solutions
- Supervise apprentices and junior electricians on complex projects
- Manage inventory of tools and materials for assigned job sites
- Document work performed and maintain client communication
Qualifications
- Valid District of Columbia Journeyman or Master Electrician license
- Minimum 5 years of commercial/residential electrical experience
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- OSHA 10-hour certification required
- Strong understanding of NEC and DC building codes
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
