Responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, fixtures, and control devices in accordance with NEC standards.
- Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate and efficient project execution.
- Ensure all work strictly complies with local New York City building codes and safety regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections and troubleshoot complex electrical issues to minimize downtime.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site, ensuring all tools and materials are accounted for.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and team members regarding progress and potential challenges.
Qualifications
- Certified Journeyman or Master Electrician license issued by the State of New York.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in both commercial and residential electrical environments.
- Proficiency with power tools, voltage testers, and digital blueprint reading software.
- Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local amendments.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions on construction sites.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable personal transportation for travel between job sites.
