Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings
- Interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and specifications to ensure code compliance
- Diagnose electrical faults using testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques
- Coordinate with contractors and clients to project timelines and safety protocols
- Manage inventory and order materials for assigned projects
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and materials used
- Mentor junior electricians on best practices and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois electrician license (Journeyman or Master)
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on electrical experience
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Proficiency with electrical testing tools and diagnostic equipment
- Strong understanding of NEC and Chicago electrical codes
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in confined spaces
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
