Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lighting fixtures, and circuit breakers.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan electrical layouts.
- Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes (NEC) and OSHA safety standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work site, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Communicate effectively with project managers and clients to provide updates and explain technical details.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment to prevent future failures.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License in the State of Illinois.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in commercial and residential electrical work.
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory, circuitry, and the National Electrical Code.
- Ability to read and understand electrical blueprints and diagrams.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and working in various environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
