Responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial and industrial electrical systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to plan electrical work.
- Ensure all installations and repairs comply with local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure system reliability and safety.
- Mentor and guide apprentice electricians, sharing best practices and technical knowledge.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical faults efficiently and accurately.
- Document all work performed in accordance with company standards and safety logs.
Qualifications
- Valid and current Journeyman Electrician License in New York or Illinois (or ability to obtain reciprocity).
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in commercial/residential electrical construction.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team setting.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional work ethic.
