Responsibilities
- Perform residential and commercial plumbing repairs, including leak detection, fixture installation, and pipe repair.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings to plan pipe layouts.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, including pipe wrenches, threaders, and soldering torches.
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of time worked and materials used for invoicing.
- Provide exceptional customer service, explaining technical issues to clients in a clear, professional manner.
- Travel to various job sites throughout the Chicago metro area.
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Journeyman or Master Plumber License is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial and residential plumbing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose complex plumbing issues.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in tight, confined spaces.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Current certifications for gas piping and backflow prevention are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
