Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with material handling, site preparation, and cleanup tasks
- Operate basic hand tools (shovels, hammers, levels) and power equipment under supervision
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment safely at job sites
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and adhere to OSHA safety protocols
- Follow precise instructions from supervisors to meet project specifications and deadlines
- Participate in team-based construction activities including digging, framing, and finishing
- Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately to site supervisors
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred but not required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites across Cleveland
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)
- Basic math skills for material measurements and inventory tracking
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with zero-tolerance for safety violations
- Ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours per day on uneven terrain
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
