Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with site preparation, material handling, and equipment operation
- Follow safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work areas
- Perform manual tasks including digging, lifting, and debris removal
- Read basic blueprints and follow supervisor instructions
- Operate hand tools and power equipment under guidance
- Participate in team-based construction projects across residential/commercial sites
- Complete daily equipment maintenance checks and reporting
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Reliable transportation to job sites within Chicago metro area
- Positive attitude and commitment to workplace safety
- No construction experience required – we provide paid training!
- Valid state ID or driver's license
