Responsibilities
- Assist skilled carpenters and masons with material handling and site preparation
- Operate hand/power tools safely (hammers, saws, drills, etc.)
- Perform clean-up duties and maintain organized job sites
- Read and interpret basic construction blueprints and instructions
- Follow strict safety protocols and OSHA guidelines
- Assist with trenching, excavation, and concrete pouring as needed
- Transport materials using wheelbarrows, dollies, and light machinery
Qualifications
- 18+ years old with valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with zero-tolerance policy for lateness
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification preferred (training provided)
- Must own basic work boots and weather-appropriate work attire
- Previous construction experience preferred but not required
