Responsibilities
- Perform site preparation including excavation, grading, and debris removal
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, masons, electricians) with material handling
- Operate basic tools (shovels, wheelbarrows, saws) under supervision
- Maintain clean and organized job sites throughout workday
- Follow strict safety protocols and wear provided protective equipment
- Load/unload construction materials at job sites
- Complete daily task reports and communicate with site supervisors
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout shift
- Valid driver's license preferred (not mandatory)
- Reliable transportation to job sites within Boston
- Flexible availability for early morning starts (6 AM)
- Basic English communication skills for safety instructions
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Pass mandatory background/drug screening (paid by employer)
