Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up materials, and ensuring safety protocols
- Assist skilled tradespeople with tasks including excavation, concrete pouring, and framing
- Operate basic hand/power tools under supervision (hammers, saws, drills, etc.)
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment safely
- Maintain clean and organized work areas throughout the project
- Follow all OSHA safety guidelines and wear required PPE
- Report potential hazards or equipment issues to supervisors immediately
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, standing for extended periods)
- Valid driver's license preferred but not required
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of construction safety standards
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Houston
