Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, repair, and installation of residential and commercial plumbing systems, including pipes, drains, and fixtures.
- Diagnose complex plumbing issues using hand tools, video inspection cameras, and pressure gauges.
- Inspect plumbing systems to identify leaks, corrosion, and potential hazards before they become major problems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of water supply, waste, and venting systems.
- Install, repair, and maintain water heaters, sump pumps, and sewage ejector pumps.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain issues and provide transparent cost estimates.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal safety regulations and building codes.
Qualifications
- No Prior Experience Required: A strong work ethic and willingness to learn are more important than past technical experience.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs), work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.
- Manual Dexterity: Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills are essential for handling small tools and pipes.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and think critically to resolve plumbing issues efficiently.
- Valid Driver's License: Must have a clean driving record and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfortable with measurements and calculations for cutting and fitting pipes.
