Responsibilities
- Lead Electrical Projects: Direct and supervise on-site electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance for commercial and industrial clients.
- Code Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local Chicago building codes.
- System Troubleshooting: Diagnose complex electrical faults and implement effective, safe solutions efficiently.
- Safety Management: Enforce strict safety protocols to maintain OSHA compliance and protect team members and clients.
- Client Communication: Provide clear, professional updates to project managers and clients regarding project status and site conditions.
- Team Mentorship: Mentor Journeyman and Apprentice electricians, providing guidance on technical skills and safety procedures.
- Permitting & Documentation: Handle necessary permits, inspections, and maintain accurate job-site documentation.
Qualifications
- Licensing: Valid Master Electrician license in the State of Illinois.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in commercial and industrial electrical work.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
- Tools: Must possess a personal set of high-quality electrical tools (e.g., Klein Tools, Milwaukee).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- CDL: A clean driving record and valid Class A or B CDL are often preferred for industrial site access.
