Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems per NEC standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Supervise junior electricians and apprentices
- Conduct system inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Diagnose electrical faults using specialized testing equipment
- Coordinate with contractors and clients to project specifications
- Document work activities and maintain accurate records
Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial electrical experience
- Valid Illinois Master Electrician license (IL license # required)
- OSHA 30-hour certification
- Proficiency with conduit bending and power tools
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 70E and local electrical codes
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in confined spaces
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation
- Experience with PLC systems and industrial controls preferred
