Responsibilities
- System Installation & Maintenance: Lead the installation, maintenance, and repair of high-voltage electrical systems in commercial and industrial facilities.
- Code Compliance: Ensure all projects strictly adhere to the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local New York/Boston building regulations.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex electrical faults efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior electricians and apprentices, providing guidance on technical procedures and safety protocols.
- Project Oversight: Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to plan layouts and estimate material requirements.
- Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding project status, timelines, and technical explanations.
Qualifications
- License: Valid New York State Master Electrician License (or equivalent certification for Boston area applicants).
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of proven experience in commercial electrical work.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints, using power tools, and troubleshooting complex wiring systems.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs), work at heights, and stand for extended periods.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
