Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with local and national electrical codes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to determine the layout of wiring and equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems to diagnose and repair malfunctions, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
- Ensure all work complies with OSHA safety standards and National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations.
- Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior apprentices and technicians.
- Prepare detailed job reports and maintain accurate records of materials and labor used.
- Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure system longevity and safety.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician license in the State of Illinois.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in commercial and residential electrical work.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical theory, blueprint reading, and circuit design.
- OSHA 10 or 30-hour safety certification is required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team setting.
- Current, valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various environmental conditions.
