Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial properties
- Diagnose and resolve complex pipe, fixture, and drainage issues using advanced diagnostic tools
- Interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure precise system configurations
- Ensure compliance with DC plumbing codes and safety regulations
- Lead emergency response teams for urgent plumbing failures
- Train junior plumbers on best practices and safety procedures
- Manage inventory and equipment maintenance for assigned vehicles
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years as a licensed plumber in Washington DC
- Valid DC Master Plumber license (PL-2000)
- Expert knowledge of local plumbing codes and EPA regulations
- Proven experience with backflow prevention and water treatment systems
- Certification in trenchless pipe rehabilitation technologies
- OSHA 30-hour certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in confined spaces
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation
