Responsibilities
- Execute excavation, grading, and concrete pouring operations under night supervision
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, bulldozers, and compactors with precision
- Install and remove construction site safety barriers and traffic control devices
- Assist carpenters and masons with material handling and site preparation tasks
- Perform night-specific quality checks and documentation for daily progress reports
- Maintain equipment functionality through pre-shift inspections and basic maintenance
- Adhere strictly to OSHA night work protocols and emergency procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional crews to meet critical project deadlines
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction labor experience or equivalent vocational training
- OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Valid driver's license with clean record for equipment operation
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks
- Experience working in low-visibility environments with proper lighting protocols
- Basic understanding of blueprint reading and construction terminology
- Reliable transportation to remote work sites within 50-mile radius
- Ability to work independently while maintaining radio communication with night supervisors
