Responsibilities
- Execute precise excavation, grading, and earthwork operations using heavy machinery
- Install concrete forms, rebar, and post-tensioning systems with millimeter accuracy
- Operate power tools (saws, jackhammers, drills) and material handling equipment safely
- Construct scaffolding, temporary structures, and safety barriers per OSHA standards
- Perform site cleanup, debris removal, and hazardous material disposal protocols
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to implement complex construction sequences
- Collaborate with skilled trades (electricians, plumbers, welders) in tight-timeline environments
- Maintain equipment logs and report maintenance needs to site supervisor
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years commercial construction experience with night shift background
- OSHA 10/30 certification and valid forklift/crane operator licenses preferred
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs repeatedly and work in extreme temperature conditions
- Proficiency with power tools and construction measurement equipment (levels, transits)
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading and construction terminology
- Reliable transportation and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends during critical project phases
- Spanish bilingual skills highly valued for diverse crew communication
