Responsibilities
- Execute precise excavation, demolition, and site preparation tasks
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, bulldozers) with certification
- Install formwork, rebar, and concrete infrastructure per blueprints
- Maintain strict OSHA compliance and job site safety standards
- Perform material handling, loading/unloading, and inventory management
- Collaborate with skilled tradesmen on complex construction phases
- Complete daily equipment inspections and preventative maintenance
- Document project progress and material usage reports
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years commercial construction experience
- Night shift availability required (6 PM - 6 AM schedule)
- OSHA 30-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Proficiency in operating power tools and hand equipment
- Basic blueprint reading and measurement skills
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Hampton Roads
