Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation, excavation, and demolition tasks following blueprints and safety protocols
- Operate heavy machinery including forklifts, excavators, and power tools with certification
- Load/unload materials and maintain organized job site inventory
- Pour concrete, set forms, and finish surfaces using specialized techniques
- Install scaffolding, safety barriers, and temporary structures
- Perform daily equipment maintenance and safety inspections
- Collaborate with supervisors and tradespeople to meet project deadlines
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years construction labor experience required
- OSHA 10/30 certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Flexibility to work 8-12 hour night shifts (6 PM - 6 AM)
- Basic math skills for material calculations
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance
- Reliable transportation to job sites across San Diego County
