Responsibilities
- Excavate, dig, and prepare construction sites using manual tools and equipment
- Load/unload materials and operate heavy machinery (backhoes, forklifts) under supervision
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other trades with material handling and site preparation
- Adhere to strict OSHA safety protocols during night operations
- Perform site cleanup and debris removal after shifts
- Monitor equipment maintenance and report malfunctions
- Read blueprints and follow project specifications
- Work collaboratively in diverse teams to meet tight deadlines
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years construction/labor experience or trade school certification
- Valid OSHA 10-hour construction certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Class B driver's license with clean driving record
- Experience operating heavy machinery (excavators, bulldozers)
- Ability to work in variable weather conditions (night shift)
- Basic math skills for material calculations
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
