Responsibilities
- Execute complex construction tasks including excavation, concrete pouring, and structural assembly under nighttime conditions
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, forklifts) and power tools with precision and safety awareness
- Implement strict safety protocols and maintain OSHA compliance during all operations
- Assist skilled tradesmen with material handling, equipment setup, and site preparation
- Perform site cleanup, debris removal, and hazardous waste disposal according to EPA standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications for accurate execution
- Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance needs to prevent operational delays
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years commercial construction experience with night shift documentation
- OSHA 30-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficiency with hand/power tools and heavy machinery operation
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with overnight supervisors
- Basic blueprint reading and math skills for material estimation
