Responsibilities
- Execute excavation, grading, and concrete pouring operations under night shift supervision
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, forklifts, and power tools with precision
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and job-site hazard prevention
- Assist carpenters and masons with material handling and site preparation
- Maintain equipment functionality through daily inspections and basic maintenance
- Read blueprints and follow project specifications with attention to detail
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain workflow efficiency
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver's license and clean MVR record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks in all weather
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification preferred (training provided)
- Basic math skills for material measurement and inventory
- Reliable transportation to job sites across New Orleans metro area
- Willingness to work 10-hour night shifts (6 PM - 4 AM)
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
