Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradesmen with material handling, site preparation, and equipment operation
- Perform general cleanup, debris removal, and waste management per OSHA standards
- Operate power tools and machinery safely including jackhammers, saws, and forklifts
- Read blueprints and follow verbal instructions from site supervisors
- Maintain accurate daily logs of work completed and materials used
- Conduct safety inspections of work areas and equipment before shifts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain project timelines
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of construction labor experience with night shift preference
- Valid OSHA 10-hour construction certification required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in physically demanding conditions
- Basic math skills for material calculations and inventory management
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow complex instructions
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Experience with concrete work, demolition, or scaffolding preferred
- Valid California driver's license required
