Responsibilities
- Execute excavation, grading, and concrete pouring operations under site supervisor guidance
- Safely operate heavy machinery including excavators, bulldozers, and forklifts
- Perform site preparation and cleanup ensuring OSHA compliance standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Install scaffolding, temporary structures, and safety barriers
- Conduct material handling, loading/unloading, and inventory management
- Document daily progress and maintain equipment maintenance logs
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years commercial construction experience required
- Valid OSHA 30-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Commercial driver's license (Class B) preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficient with power tools and hand-operated equipment
- Strong understanding of Virginia construction regulations
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Availability for overnight shifts (7 PM - 7 AM)
