Responsibilities
- Execute precise excavation, grading, and backfill operations using heavy machinery
- Install and remove construction safety barriers, signage, and traffic control systems
- Operate power tools (saws, jackhammers, drills) and hand tools with expert precision
- Maintain OSHA compliance through rigorous equipment checks and hazard reporting
- Load/unload materials and equipment using forklifts and overhead cranes
- Collaborate with skilled tradesmen on concrete pouring, framing, and finishing tasks
- Perform site cleanup and waste management to exceed environmental standards
- Read blueprints and technical specifications to execute complex construction sequences
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years commercial construction experience with night shift exposure
- OSHA 30 certification and valid forklift operator license required
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and perform strenuous tasks in extreme weather
- Proficiency with power tools and heavy machinery (excavators, bulldozers)
- Strong attention to detail with precise measurement and alignment skills
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Valid Ohio driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work independently while maintaining team communication standards
