Responsibilities
- Execute construction tasks including excavation, demolition, and material handling under supervision
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, forklifts) with proper safety certifications
- Maintain clean and organized job sites to meet OSHA standards
- Assist skilled tradesmen (carpenters, masons, electricians) during project phases
- Inspect and maintain tools/equipment before/duty shifts
- Follow precise blueprints and project timelines
- Document daily progress and material usage
- Participate in emergency response drills
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years construction labor experience or trade school certification
- Night shift availability (6 PM - 6 AM, flexible schedule)
- OSHA 10/30 certification or willingness to obtain
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather
- Basic math skills for material calculations
- Pass pre-employment background/drug screening
- Experience with Baltimore-area construction projects preferred
