Responsibilities
- Execute physically demanding tasks including excavation, material handling, and equipment operation
- Maintain strict OSHA compliance on active construction sites
- Operate power tools (jackhammers, saws, drills) and heavy machinery safely
- Assist skilled tradespeople in concrete pouring, framing, and finishing
- Perform site cleanup, debris removal, and hazardous waste disposal
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and safety checks
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction or heavy labor experience
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Valid driver's license with clean record (for equipment transport)
- Ability to work independently and as part of diverse crews
- Basic math skills for material calculations and measurements
- Flexibility for extended night shifts (6 PM - 6 AM)
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
