Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradesmen with material handling, site preparation, and cleanup duties
- Operate basic hand tools (hammers, shovels, saws) and light machinery under supervision
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment safely
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain organized work areas
- Perform physical tasks including digging, lifting, and carrying materials (up to 50 lbs)
- Participate in on-the-job training for specialized skills like scaffolding or concrete work
- Complete daily progress reports and maintain project documentation
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required – training provided
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions (outdoor, night shifts)
- Valid government-issued photo ID and reliable transportation
- Basic math skills for material measurements and inventory
- Willingness to obtain OSHA 10-hour certification (company-sponsored)
- Strong work ethic and punctuality for overnight shifts (6 PM - 6 AM)
- Ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours and lift construction materials
- Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills
