Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradesmen with construction tasks including demolition, excavation, and material handling
- Operate hand tools and power equipment under supervision (e.g., saws, drills, jackhammers)
- Load/unload construction materials and maintain clean, organized job sites
- Follow safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Perform site preparation tasks including trenching, shoring, and concrete work
- Assist in setting up and breaking down temporary structures and scaffolding
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards to site supervisors
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required - comprehensive training provided
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid driver's license preferred but not required
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety standards
- Ability to follow verbal instructions and work in a team environment
- Basic math skills for measuring and material calculations
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Charlotte metro area
