Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up safety barriers, and organizing materials
- Assist skilled trades with material handling, equipment operation, and basic site maintenance
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work environments
- Operate hand/power tools under supervision for cutting, digging, and material placement
- Perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, and positioning construction materials
- Support concrete pouring, framing, and finishing tasks as directed by site supervisors
- Complete daily equipment checks and report maintenance needs promptly
Qualifications
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Austin metro area
- Commitment to night shift availability (6 PM - 6 AM schedule)
- Basic understanding of construction safety standards (training provided)
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions (night shift offers cooler temps)
- Strong teamwork ethic and ability to follow verbal instructions
- Valid government-issued photo ID and authorization to work in the US
