Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with site preparation, excavation, and material handling
- Safely operate hand/power tools (hammers, saws, drills) under supervision
- Load/unload construction materials and maintain organized job sites
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times
- Perform general cleanup and debris removal to maintain project efficiency
- Learn basic carpentry, masonry, and concrete finishing techniques
- Assist with equipment operation (e.g., forklifts, jackhammers) with proper certification
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, dust)
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with zero-tolerance for drug use
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Ability to follow verbal instructions and maintain focus on safety
