Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites efficiently.
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing job sites, including clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up scaffolding under supervision.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction equipment and machinery, such as forklifts, jackhammers, and concrete mixers, safely and according to protocols.
- Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with various tasks to ensure project milestones are met.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning up spills, sweeping, and organizing tools after shifts.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations, wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and report any hazards immediately to the site supervisor.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous construction labor experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is key.
- Availability: Must be available to work night shifts (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) on a consistent basis.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) and standing for extended periods.
- License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the job site.
- Documentation: Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
