Responsibilities
- Perform physical labor tasks including excavation, demolition, material handling, and site cleanup
- Operate hand/power tools safely (hammers, saws, drills, etc.) and follow equipment protocols
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, masons, electricians) with project execution
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and adhere to OSHA safety standards
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and project specifications
- Load/unload construction materials and transport equipment as needed
- Complete shift reports and communicate project updates to supervisors
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction labor experience or equivalent physical work background
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in various weather conditions
- Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation
- Basic tool knowledge and willingness to operate machinery with training
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training provided if needed)
- Strong work ethic and punctuality for night shift assignments
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Ability to stand/walk 8+ hours per shift
