Responsibilities
- Execute excavation, demolition, and site preparation tasks following blueprints and safety protocols
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, forklifts) with proper certification and training
- Load/unload construction materials and maintain organized job site storage
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other trades with material handling and support tasks
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adhere to OSHA standards and company safety procedures at all times
- Maintain clean, hazard-free work environments through debris removal
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction labor or related field experience
- Valid OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks
- Flexible availability for 10-12 hour night shifts (6 PM - 6 AM)
- Basic hand/power tool proficiency (drills, saws, jackhammers)
- Reliable transportation to job sites within Oakland County
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and confined spaces
