Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair commercial electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, and emergency backup systems
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications for complex projects
- Ensure strict compliance with NEC, OSHA, and Massachusetts state electrical codes
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults using advanced diagnostic tools
- Perform preventative maintenance on high-voltage equipment and critical infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on large-scale commercial projects
- Document all work activities with detailed reports and maintenance logs
- Maintain strict safety protocols in all high-risk environments
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of commercial electrical experience with night shift background
- Valid Massachusetts Electrician Journeyman License (or reciprocal state license)
- Proficiency in reading complex electrical schematics and blueprints
- OSHA 10-hour certification required, 30-hour preferred
- Expertise in NEC code enforcement and local Boston regulations
- Strong diagnostic skills with experience in troubleshooting complex systems
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure nighttime environments
- Physical stamina for climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and lifting up to 50 lbs
