Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial facilities
- Perform emergency repairs during night shifts to minimize operational downtime
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
- Ensure strict compliance with NEC, OSHA, and local electrical codes
- Diagnose complex electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on transformers, circuit breakers, and control systems
- Collaborate with engineering teams for system upgrades and retrofits
- Maintain detailed service logs and documentation for compliance
Qualifications
- Valid Texas electrician license (Journeyman or Master)
- Minimum 3 years of commercial/industrial electrical experience
- Proven expertise with high-voltage systems and 3-phase power
- OSHA 30-hour certification and NFPA 70E training
- Proficiency in troubleshooting PLC systems and VFDs
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure emergency situations
- Strong knowledge of energy management systems and smart grid technology
- Physical capability to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined spaces
