Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople with material handling and site preparation
- Operate basic hand tools and power equipment under supervision (e.g., saws, drills, jackhammers)
- Perform site cleanup, debris removal, and waste management according to OSHA standards
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and project specifications
- Maintain a safe work environment by following safety protocols and wearing required PPE
- Support concrete pouring, framing, and finishing tasks as needed
- Assist with equipment maintenance and daily tool inspections
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of construction or heavy labor experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in outdoor conditions
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Basic math skills for measuring and material calculations
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow verbal instructions
- Flexible availability including early mornings, weekends, and overtime
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
