Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters, masons, and equipment operators on commercial/residential sites
- Prepare work zones: clear debris, erect scaffolding, and set safety barriers
- Handle materials: transport, sort, and stage lumber, concrete, and fixtures
- Perform site cleanup and waste management per OSHA standards
- Operate hand/power tools (drills, saws, jackhammers) under supervision
- Read basic blueprints and follow supervisor instructions
- Maintain equipment and report safety hazards immediately
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction or related labor experience
- OSHA 10 certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and work in all weather conditions
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
- Basic math skills for material measurements
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance
- Flexible availability (weekends/evenings required)
- Pre-employment drug screening mandatory
