Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople with material handling and site preparation
- Operate hand/power tools safely under supervisor guidance (saws, drills, jackhammers)
- Load/unload construction materials and maintain organized job sites
- Perform cleanup duties including debris removal and equipment maintenance
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and company standards
- Support demolition and excavation activities as needed
- Assist in setting up temporary structures and safety barriers
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid California Driver's License (required for equipment transport)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand for 8+ hours
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Sacramento County
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Willingness to obtain OSHA 10 certification (paid by employer)
- Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork
