Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters and masons with material handling and basic construction tasks
- Prepare job sites by clearing debris, setting up equipment, and maintaining safety zones
- Operate hand/power tools safely under supervisor guidance (hammers, saws, drills)
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and instructions
- Perform quality checks on completed tasks and report discrepancies
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and comply with OSHA standards
- Support concrete pouring, framing, and finishing as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months construction or labor experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical tasks in varying weather
- Basic knowledge of power tools and construction materials
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
- Flexible availability including weekends and early mornings
- Pass background check and drug screening
