Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters, masons, and equipment operators with material handling and site preparation
- Perform demolition, excavation, and debris removal following OSHA safety standards
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) under supervisor guidance
- Concrete finishing, grading, and basic formwork installation
- Inspect and maintain job site cleanliness and safety compliance
- Support material inventory management and equipment logistics
- Complete daily progress reports and safety documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic math skills for measurement and material calculations
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Charlotte metro area
