Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Clear and prepare construction sites by removing debris, dirt, and obstacles.
- Material Handling: Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment from trucks and distribute them to the correct locations.
- Assistance: Assist carpenters, electricians, and other trades with tasks such as holding materials, digging trenches, or cleaning work areas.
- Tool Operation: Operate power tools and heavy machinery (like forklifts or skid steers) safely and according to protocols.
- Quality Control: Help ensure that work areas are kept clean, organized, and safe in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Measurement: Measure and cut materials as needed for specific project requirements.
Qualifications
- Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform strenuous physical labor, including lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Background: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Experience: Prior construction experience is preferred but not strictly required; on-the-job training provided.
