Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, laying out materials, and ensuring a safe working environment.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the job site using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
- Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople (electricians, plumbers, carpenters) with basic tasks as directed by the site supervisor.
- Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all site cleanliness and safety protocols.
- Equipment Care: Inspect and report any damaged equipment or safety hazards immediately to the foreman.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or general labor is preferred but not required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Driver's License: Valid California driver's license and clean driving record.
- Tools: Basic understanding of hand and power tools is a plus.
- Safety Conscious: Commitment to following all safety regulations and OSHA guidelines.
