Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other trades with material handling and site preparation
- Operate light machinery (saws, drills, compactors) following safety protocols
- Demolish structures and clear debris using proper techniques
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and adhere to OSHA standards
- Read blueprints and interpret project specifications
- Perform concrete work, including pouring, finishing, and curing
- Assist with framing, roofing, and finishing tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction labor experience preferred
- Valid OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Basic hand tool proficiency (hammers, saws, levels)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Flexible availability including weekends and early mornings
- NYC DOB Site Safety Training certification a plus
