Responsibilities
- Assist Skilled Tradespeople: Support carpenters, masons, and electricians with various on-site construction tasks.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites efficiently.
- Tool Operation: Safely operate hand and power tools under the supervision of senior staff.
- Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting forms as required.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean and safe work environment by strictly adhering to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols.
- Site Cleanup: Perform basic cleanup and organization of the work area after daily operations are completed.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with the foreman and team members to ensure project goals are met.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Weather Resilience: Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
- Driver’s License: Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are required.
- Basic Knowledge: Basic knowledge of construction tools, safety equipment, and procedures is preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Must be detail-oriented and able to follow both verbal and written instructions precisely.
- Teamwork: Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and respect chain of command.
- Experience: Prior experience in the construction industry is a plus but not strictly required.
